I'm thinking of changing the format a little. Maybe people were right; it's a lot to keep track of. I'm going to pick 4 topics that are close to me and just stick to that.
1. Personal Finances. I truly do want to improve my savings and be better about money and be able to pay for our wedding ourselves.
2. Spirituality. I think this is really important and something that I'd really like to define for myself.
3. Eating better/Dieting/Vegetarianism. I have wanted to be a vegetarian for years and years but I really have to get away from my love of carniverous pursuits. I, like just about every other woman on earth, want to lost weight but in the right way.
4. Miscellaneous. I have so many passions and interests that jumble up in my head and threaten to leak out if I don't give them a proper forum. Call it ranting, call it babbling, whatever.
I think instead of breaking posts up by themed days of the week, I'm just going to post whatever and however it comes out.
Any suggestions? I'd love to hear them!

THRIFTY THURSDAYS! Thursday, 10/11/07
Today I was broke...payday is tomorrow. I borrowed money from a friend and I hate doing that but I also hate being broke. I know borrowing is a huuuuge frugal no-no so shame on me! But, in my defense, I'm just starting out with this frugality thing and admitting you're powerless is the first step. I did learn something today, although it has nothing to do with money--unless you go by the adage that the best things in life are free. One of my cats, Nami, I've had for 4 and a half years (She's 5 and a half). I don't know if it's just my cats but they love getting rubbies on their butts, right where the tail starts. They go down on all fours and lift their furry hinies up in the air. Well, today, Nami was hyper--like she gets right before she goes psycho--and I was giving her one of these rubbies. She started pawing at the carpet, which she knows better than to do, so I gave her a little swat on her butt. Lord have mercy! My daughter is a perv! I could swear the little booger was grinning! So I did it again, just to make sure. Yup, she loved the spankings. And before y'all get animal-rights on me, let me assure you that I would be the first to beat down someone who was beating their pet. I abhor animal abuse. The swats I give my cats are really just taps. Trust me, when Nami goes psycho every night, she hits ME a lot harder. Nami is the first cat in my title banner, the calico. Here's a shot:
I have two other gorgeous girls. There's Amma, the cat on the right end of my title banner. She's a beautiful orange tabby with orange-y/gold eyes. She doesn't always photograph well but she's beautiful and has the sweetest disposition of any cat I've ever known. Here is a shot of my Golden Child:
Voodoo Viola is my 3rd girlie. She's not really mine; I don't know where she comes from. She lives outside (My two don't get along and it would be WWW3 if I took Voo in) but she's a sweetie. The whole block loves her but she seems to seek me out. I've already decided that when and if we move in the future, I'll find some way to take her with us. She's a sweet gray tabby:
Those furballs, along with my future Mr. make up my small, immediate family. (I have two sisters, my mom, and countless aunts/uncles/cousins also...just not in my apartment...)
I had one more thing for yesterday's WEDDING WEDNESDAY but I forgot to add it so here it is:

I am addicted to "Bridezillas". The evil brides make me cringe but sometimes the show is educational. In fact, one girl's favor idea is one I plan to steal.
I don't remember the bride's name but she had a Blue Tiffany's-theme wedding and her favors were little blue Tiffany's store-inspired gift boxes with Hershey's kisses and a tag that said:
Kisses from the Mr. & Mrs.
How adorable is that? I'm going to steal this idea because it's cute and cheap, therefore, a worthy addition to THRIFTY THURSDAY. Except, my boxes will be whatever color we decide to go with and, because everyone that knows us knows that the two things we cherish are the cats and riding the Mr.'s motorcycle, I'll get ribbons printed up: half with pawprints, half with little motorcycles, intertwine them somehow. And instead of just Kisses, I'll get Hershey's Hugs too. Then I'll make the tag say:
Hugs & Kisses from the Mr. & Mrs.
Awesome, right?!

WEDDING WEDNESDAY-a day early
TEACH ME TUESDAYS, 10/08/07
I didn't learn all that much today, so I only have a tidbit to share.
You know how when you pop popcorn in those bags they come in and half the kernals don't get popped? Apparently, if you want them to pop, don't put them in a plastic bowl and cover whatever you use up. My plastic bowl became a plate and the microwave was filled with popcorn. And since it was a community microwave, I wasn't about to eat the popcorn that touched bare surfaces. I work near this machine every day; I know for a fact that the surfaces aren't as bare as they look.
Lesson learned.

I lied...I do that sometimes...
I have my name for Saturdays. Everyone needs to have some fun and I love to. Therefore, I christen Saturdays:
SILLY SATURDAYS
I'm not completely sure what this will be about but it'll show itself...

Last post for today...
I'm going to name Fridays:
FIT FRIDAYS
This will be, obviously, about dieting. But I'm also going to chronicle my journey to becoming a vegetarian, as well as talk about healthy stuff.

Still the first post...just Part 2
I finally thought of a name for my Tuesdays!
TEACH ME TUESDAYS
I'll post DIYs, tutorials, recipes, tips, etc. I'll also post anything in this vein that readers might want to send me. I'll always credit you so never fear!
I'm still thinking about Fridays and Saturdays...
